Religious education is an ongoing process for every baptised individual. At St. John Vianney, we provide numerous avenues for you to continue your faith formation or to begin your Catholic journey by joining the Christian Initiation process commonly known as RCIA for adults or RCIC for children. Religious Education classes for children and youth have begun for the 2011-12 year. Adults are needed as both lead catechists and classroom aides. If you haven't yet registered or are interested in joining our Ministry Team, please contact the Religious Ed Office at (402) 895-0896. Click here for a pdf version of the registration form. Rite of Christian Initiation for Children (RCIC) Children interested in joining the Catholic Church or who did not celebrate First Communion or Confirmation with their peers should contact Margaret Iossi, Director of Religious Education at 402.895.0896. A conversation with parent(s) and child will help determine the best process for sacramental preparation. Vacation Bible School is a summer evening program (5 days) offering children in grades K-5 an opportunity to learn more about Jesus love for us and our Catholic faith through scripture stories, prayer, art and crafts, music, games and drama. VBS provides another ministry opportunity for adults to share their time and talent with the children of our parish. |
